I am a second year programming student at a university in Sweden, where I specifically study games programming. This blog is intended to be a place where I can write about whatever I'm working on in a tutorial form. Hopefully someone will consider it educational. My main language is C++, although I know C# and I can spell Java, and I have looked into some other languages, like Ruby and Javascript.
Currently I'm working on three projects, that are in different stages. I'm working together with a group of students - we call ourselves Tarhead Studios - on a game called Grief. Initially a student project, we've won two awards, most notably Swedish Game Awards 2013 in the category Best Scenario (which was an amazing experience), as well as a local prize called SAGA. Thanks to the awards we are working on a release of that game. As a studio we're also working on our second title, which we will use to break into the business! So far we're barely out of pre-production. I'm also working on my own original idea for a rogue-like(-like!) - together with a handful of other people that I've involved into the project. That project has fallen into the waysides, until I take the time to learn Qt at an acceptable level, which I will need for the editor. I will go into more detail on that game throughout writing on this blog.
